"I'm rather partial to some of the less common forms, and this little bent Apple is certainly one of them. While the bowl is nicely formed and plays well in the hand, it is of course the shank and stem that really set this pipe apart. The slightly flaring acrylic ferrule, visually contrasting the the native briar yet seamless in continuing the shank's overall form, mates abruptly with a delicately slender reed of a stem. Taken in it's entirety it makes for a wonderful composition, and a rare success for such dissimilar elements.
