Michael Lindner Pipe Blowfish "A"

Made in the U.S.A. 2006.

Description:
This contoured Blowfish has a slight resemblance to a heart if viewed from either side. The Birdseye Grains are caught crisply on both side surfaces, and the Cross Grains flow along the lines from top to front to bottom. Michael's ability to find a pipe in a block of briar is perfectly executed in this creation. The pipe comes with a fine leather sleeve.

MICHAEL LINDNER Dahilia

A delicate little 3 knuckle bamboo with nice craggy blast and a smooth bowl top. It is 6 inches long with a 1 inch bowl and a 13/16 inch bore.

MICHAEL LINDNER Pot Canadian

A nice short smoke, this pipe, Grade A1, has as nice a birdseye bottom as any you will ever see. It also has birdseye on the bowl rim and nice flaming straight on its sides. The pipe is a "sitter".

It is 5 1/4 inches long with a 1 1/2 inch bowl and a 3/4 inch bore. It weighs only 40 gm.(1 3/8 oz.).

MICHAEL LINDNER Smooth Elephants Foot

Another outstanding pipe by Michael! A perfect blending of straight crossgrain and birdseye. It features an extension of exotic spalted tamarind. Nothing not to like in this pipe!

The pipe measures just under 5 1/2 inches with a 3 inch bowl at its highest point and a 3/4 inch bore. Weight=57gm. (2 oz.).

Here is a larger Canadian I just finished up on 8/12/2010. The finish is virgin; there is no stain, only carnauba wax to colour the briar. The mouthpiece is handcut from German Brindle rod stock and the briar was acquired from Mimmo in 2004. The blast is a really cool back-to-front radial crosscut. The main picture below doesn't show the detail of the blast, but there is a link for closeups so you can see how it turned out.

Measurements and Stampings: The pipe measures 6 7/8" long with a shank that is just shy of 4" long. The bowl width is 1 1/2" across at its widest point and just a hair over 2 1/8" tall. The chamber is .76" across and 1.95" deep. The weight is 1.9 ounces (55 grams). The pipe is about a group 5 Dunhill in size. Stampings read: michael lindner, handmade usa, 2010, D, 3 (in a circle). There is also a closeup of the stampings shown below.
