The one exception to the oil curing process preference is when we order a pipe in the "Clear" stain. There is something about the oil which, when combined with the Clear finish, produces a smeary surface. As a result, you will see the majority of Clears that make the site (there are some exceptions, when the stain winds up doing fine with the oil process, but not that often) do *not* feature oil-curing.
