bei ebay wird gerade nachfolgende Pfeife angeboten. allerdings kann es sich nicht, wie angegeben um eine 91R handeln - auch nicht um eine 92 R, da sie einen runden Holm hat.
Hello Arno, I would submit to your attention an expert in Stanwell pipe a question to which I can not give a definite answer. It occurred to me several times to have in my hands some Stanwell pipes that do not bear the Country of Manufacturer (C.O.M.) in this case, "Made in Denmark", in this moment for example I have a Stanwell Hand Made # 87R (giant chimney shape) Regd No. 969 -48 whose period of production I think it is in the middle of 1960 which does not have this stamp. My question is this: according to your opinion distinguished the lack of this stamp is due to a technical factor (e.g. lack of suitable space for stamping) or has other circumstances? Thanks Piero
On this issue there is no right answer. At Stanwell with the stamps, anything is possible. It is probable that the man who should be stamped just had breakfast break. Then there was just produced some pipes without this stamp. It is sometimes difficult to understand what happened there.
Hello Arno, I like to bring to your attention that one of my pipe, I think, extremely rare, it is a Poul Winslow made for Stanwell. The nomenclature is very concise, it only shows the stamp WINSLOW in large letters and on the mouthpiece, vulcanite, the logo Stanwell (S crowned brass). I think it can be readily identified as produced in the period immediately following the year 1985 when Paul Winslow had lost their jobs in the laboratory of Preben Holm (due to disease Preben which then led to the premature death of Preben in 1989). I also like to point out the incredible work done by Poul on the stem of his pipe, which continues on the initial part of the mouthpiece. Now comes my question: you're a real expert on brand Stanwell can confirm my hypothesis? I try to attach some pictures of the pipe in question through facebook messaging or e-mail if you let me know your email address because I can not I use (my fault I think) the system to attach photos of this Forum Thanks Piero
