Description
This shape came about when sketching on a block of fine Corsican plateau.

The first edition that Sara shaped on the disk sander was redone several times till finally we got it right.

The shape lends elements of a flattened egg and gives the impression of an eye when viewed from above.

This semi blast shows a nice array of straight grain along the sides a beautiful display of Birdseyes covering the bottom. And the Eye is blasted to give the piece a nice contrast.

Stem is hand cut out of German ebonite with an army mount and a brass ring inlay around the mortise.
