Description Loosely inspired by one of master carver Tokutomi’s Cavalier pipes I proudly present an egg on a stick ;)
I found this pipe just as most blasts hard to get right in the photos but the pictures will give you a general idea.. The base is made of whale tooth and ebony witch is pit black when you look at it from a short distance but at a closer inspection will reveal a life only natural materials posses.
A shallow but detailed blast with rings going around the egg and the sides of the shank, stained in a light tan.
German ebonite stem with a delrin tenon and a conical bore.
To me this pipe has a sense of erotic, with bouth elements of feminine and masculine and nature
Tecnicallydrilled like a standard stummel and is not a Cavalier in its true sense, the base functions more as a stand or for bashing people with.
Further more the weight of this piece makes it unsuitable as a clencher. The total height from base to the top of the egg is 145mm
Like all Geiger’s this passes the pipe cleaner test and is drilled spot on
