Peterson c. 1940 Deluxe Billiard--Unsmoked!

A high grade, pre-War pipe from Peterson, a classic billiard that is expertly cut directly across the grain, to reveal particularly attractive birdseye on the side of the bowl. It has a very nice (and surprisingly comfortable) handcut taper bit with "P" lip, and is in perfect, unsmoked condition. It is rare to find an unsmoked "Pre-Republic" Peterson, as they were almost always enthusiastically smoked by their owners, and with good reason--after a somewhat long break-in, they settle in to deliver outstanding smokes day after day, year after year. A rare find indeed.
