Later Tanshells like this one have a lighter, less variegated color that those from the early years of the finish. But when smoked, the develop interesting gradations of color and the grain detail is enhanced in the process.

Here we have a very generously sized classical Dublin, very well balanced and harmonious in proportions, whose wide bowl has a Group 5 capacity. The nicely articulated tubular shank gives onto the handcut vulcanite taper bit, which completes the shape.
