Zitat: "Grain!! This one uses a gold-black contrast stain to really bring out the intensity of the bird's-eye covering both sides. Down the shank and up the bowl, the grain lines look almost like they've been drawn on by marker. Also in its favor is extremely light weight - These "Bing"-style shapes are essentially billiards with all the fat taken out, and ideal ideal for those looking for a lightweight pipe."
Zitat: "This, I think, may be the prettiest stummel in the standard Ligne Bretagne line. It's a bit unusual but the shape has really grown on me over the years, with its oval Canadian-style shank and slightly bent, churchwarden-esque egg-shaped bowl. The grain on this one is pretty excellent, also, with great bird's-eye on both sides and that beautiful straight-across grain running from side to side, best visible in the top-down view. These stummels are also virtually weightless and consistently produce pipes in the 20 gram range, despite having perfectly decent-sized bowls."
