Part of a rather significant batch of old 1960's shapes we acquired from Stanwell, this little Featherweight-sized "Apricot" really makes for quite a unique little pocket-pipe. The combination of the unusually shaped, yet compact bowl and the easy, slender curve shank and stem make for an unforgettable composition.

I'm not sure how popular the lovat shape was in the '60s when this Stanwell shape originated, but it's not one that we see often these days. It's a good thing that Stanwell resurrected it, because it's a great shape that we should see more of. Especially if it has a great ring grain sandblast like this one does. --Alyson Ranalli
